Block Party
The annual kick off festival hosted by Student Activities has developed over the years into an evening full of entertainment. Hosting a variety of carnival rides & games with local food vendors offering a taste of Lynchburg and Central Virginia, we are glad to give you this event for free. In this friendly atmosphere we are pleased to introduce Liberty departments and student-led clubs to meet the incoming and returning students with information and giveaways! Just when you think you've had enough, Student Activities gives you a free concert with national recording artists and a firework show to end the night! It's an evening you won't want to miss. To see more details, check out the information below for times and artists.

Family Force Five
Consisting of brothers Solomon, Jacob, and Joshua Olds, Nathan Currin, and Derek Mount, Family Force 5 are the Hulk Hands of alternative rock. Better known as Soul Glow Activatur, Crouton, Phatty, Nadaddy, and Chap Stique respectively, FF5 have fused rock, funk, hip-hop, and electronica in nearly perfect proportion, producing the previously-unrealized and now-copied gift of Crunk Rock. They've sold hundreds of thousands of their albums Business Up Front/Party In The Back (2006) and Dance Or Die (2008). They've been to LU before, but this is their first Block Party performance. There's nothing you can do to prepare yourselves for this show.
Sent By Ravens

Sent By Ravens delivers exceptionally catchy melodic rock n' roll with moments of heaviness and an overall message of hope. Their debut album, Our Graceful Words, abounds with deliciously memorable songs bringing to mind the brightest moments of bands like Emery, whose own Matt Carter helped craft the South Carolina group's debut album with producer Aaron Sprinkle.
