Spring 2017 Group Exercise Schedule
Our group exercise classes are led by a talented group of instructors who want to be a positive influence and empower many to embrace a healthy lifestyle. Get to know each one of our Group Exercise instructors.
All group exercise classes are FREE with valid Flames Pass and LaHaye Rec and Fitness membership.
Group Exercise Class Descriptions
Power Pump: This class is designed to improve strength and endurance by challenging all your muscle groups. This non-cardio, fat-burning class incorporates the barbell to perform the best weight-room exercises.
Total Body Tone: This non-cardio class utilizes body weight and dumbbell exercises to sculpt lean, strong muscles for a total body tone up.
Lunch Time Abs: A quick 30 minute class which uses interval training to target the entire core; including the abdominal, oblique and lower back muscles.
Barre Sculpt: Barre Sculpt is a 60 minute class that trains the entire body while targeting and strengthening specific muscle groups. Barre technique is a dynamic fusion of elements from Dance, Pilates, Yoga and weight resistance to burn fat and sculpt long, lean, muscles.
Sunrise Barre: Join us for an invigorating early morning practice of sculpting and lengthening your muscles, while improving your posture using basic ballet principles.
Lunch Time Barre: Looking for an efficient 30 minute workout during lunch? Lunch Time Barre is a great way to engage, stretch, and strengthen your muscles after sitting at a desk the first part of your day.
TRX: Challenge yourself in this unique way by using your body weight in the TRX suspension trainer, working against gravity and creating strong, lean muscles through a full body workout. Taught by a TRX trained instructor.
Lunch Time TRX: A lunch break has never been more productive – enjoy a 30 minute TRX class that will build strength, balance, flexibility, and increase core stability and bring you back to work or school feeling refreshed and energized.
Studio Cycling: Ride your way through this 60 minute simulated class of challenging hills, climbs, sprints, jumps while getting a full body workout.
Zumba: Zumba Fitness® is the only Latin-based dance-fitness program that blends red-hot international music, created by Grammy Award-winning producers, and contagious steps to form a "fitness-party" that is downright addictive.
H.I.I.T: High intensity interval training combines maximal effort high-intensity drills with short recovery periods to increase your calorie burn and maximize results. You will push yourself to the limit to improve your fitness in the shortest amount of time.
SYNRGY360: Join us for a 45 minute class that will keep you guessing, as we feature our most versatile piece of equipment. This class uses circuit style training at a high intensity to deliver a total body workout, build strength, and get your heart rate up. Are you ready for the challenge?
Boot Camp: Experience high-intensity, full body workouts that target the major muscle groups of the upper and lower body, specifically designed to push you to be your best! Each class will be different than the last and will feature a variety of exercise implements to stimulate your muscles. Are you ready for the challenge?!
Cardio Kickboxing: This high-intensity, dynamic cardio combination class will teach you classic kickboxing techniques that will get your heart rate up, relieve stress, and build strength.
Hip Hop: A dynamic, high energy hip hop class including a combination of fluid movement and break dance, improving strength, flexibility, and rhythm isolations.
Hip Hop Level 2: Ready for more advanced choreography and a higher intensity dance experience? Hip Hop Level 2 is our step up to the next gear and it rhythmically blends art, tempo, and fun.
Kettlebells: This class emphasizes proper kettlebell technique, while integrating circuits for optimal kettlebell benefits.
Functional Fitness: A dynamic CrossFit style class for all levels from beginner to advanced. The class is built for all levels and no previous CrossFit or barbell training is needed to participate.
Yinyasa Yoga: A rejuvenating practice that will fluidly guide you from one pose to the next- uniting the breath and movement. This class will work all muscle groups, increasing your total body strength, balance, and flexibility. All levels welcome.
Gentle Yoga: A class for the experienced, beginner, injured, or one learning the benefits of yoga. This class is held at a slower pace and focuses on stretching all areas of the body, while releasing stress and tension from joints and muscles.
Multi-Level Yoga: This class is catered to all-levels – from the first-timer to the advanced practitioner, as progressions and modifications will be available for all postures. This yoga practice will encompass proper breathing techniques, foundational movement, and introduction and journey through some more challenging and advanced movements.
Lunch Time Yoga: A shortened practice that will fluidly guide you from one pose to the next – uniting the breath and movement to increase strength, balance, and flexibility. Enjoy the benefits of decreased stress levels so that you can come back to your desk refreshed and energized. All levels welcome.
Pilates: Relax the mind, strengthen the core. This class will incorporate everything from core strength to total body conditioning and stretching using the principles of Pilates to help you achieve a balanced, toned physique.
Foam Rolling: Help alleviate tight and tense muscles from repeated use and stress in athletics and training by utilizing the foam roller to reduce muscle tension with targeted, myofascial-release exercises for deep-muscle massages. End with static stretches to further release muscle tension and stress.
