Liberty University attends hunter/jumper shows sanctioned by Southwest Virginia Hunter Jumper Association, and by USHJA and USEquestrian (formerly USEF).  Students must either board their own show horse at Liberty Equestrian Center, or may pay to lease a Liberty show horse.  Students are responsible for paying  their own show expenses, but Liberty will provide training, schooling, and transport.

One of the great things about Virginia collegiate riding is that the colleges are very actively involved in leadership roles in the associations.  Liberty, Hollins, Randolph, Sweet Briar, Bridgewater, UVA all host local shows at their collegiate facilities.  In addition, Liberty is located an hour from the Virginia Horse Center, home to many of the largest shows in this part of the country, including USEF shows sponsored by Hollins and others.

Shows are largely in the fall and late spring because of potential conflicts with the collegiate seasons.  We hope to start a similar show program for western horses and riders this school year.
