About Us: The Liberty University Taekwondo Team is one of the newest sports added to the Club Sports program. Our tkd team competes in the Eastern Collegiate Taekwondo Conference (ECTC) which consists of over 30 colleges most of which are Ivy League schools such as Penn State, MIT, Harvard, Princeton, etc. We also compete against other colleges such as Duke, UNC, VT, and UVA in an unofficial group known as the Atlantic Collegiate Alliance of Taekwondo. Our team trains primarily in the traditional style of tkd as taught by Instructor Jesse Wilson and the Kim School of Tae Kwon Do under 9th Dan Grandmaster Ju Hun Kim. The LU TKD team receives additional support, guidance and training opportunities from 1988 U.S. Taekwondo Olympic Gold Medalist Arlene Limas and her martial arts school Power Kix located in Stafford, VA.
