Liberty women first, men second in final MACRC standings

Regular-season standings have been finalized for the Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Racquetball Conference and Liberty University's racquetball team finished first in the combined standings with 4,346 points. The Flames held off second-place North Carolina State University (4,021) and ranked well ahead of third-place University of North Carolina (1,680) and fourth-place University of Virginia (1,624).
Liberty's women's team placed first in the conference standings with 1,866 points, ahead of runner-up N.C. State (1,210. Lady Flames senior Brooke Morley (450 points) ranked first among all the conference's players and freshman Abby Lindsey (280) finished in third place. The rest of the Lady Flames — freshman Monica Elder (fifth, 225), senior Courtney Sharp (sixth, 134), freshman Katherine Aylett (eighth, 97), and sophomore Meredith Blake (10th, 75) — all ranked among the top 10 women.
Meanwhile, Liberty's men placed second in the conference with 2,480 points, behind only the Wolfpack (2,811). The Flames' top three players — Ryan Evans (sixth, 327), Eric Piering (ninth, 275), and Joel Denney (10th, 250) — all finished ranked among the top 10 men's players in the conference.
