Foxhoven Lady Flames' second DI forward signee for 2020-21

Liberty University's two-time defending ACHA Division I women's hockey team recently signed a second forward to its Fall 2020 recruiting class — Carlie Foxhoven, a rising senior on the Dallas Stars Elite AAA squad.
"We are excited to be able to announce Carlie's commitment to attend and play hockey for us here at Liberty," Lady Flames Head Coach Chris Lowes said. "Carlie is a skilled forward who should come in and be successful right away. She is a smooth skater who likes to have the puck on her stick. She will be very comfortable in our league and will be another weapon for us that provides offensive production."
As a member of Team Texas, Foxhoven played a key role in leading the first team from Texas to a USA Hockey High School Girls National Championship on March 31 in Strongsville, Ohio, scoring the final goal in a 10-0 triumph over the Minnesota Dynamo Black.
"Carlie reminds me a lot of (rising junior forward) Danica Polson when she is on the ice – and that is a very good thing," Lowes said. "She could have played at a lot of schools and we are excited to have her in a Flames jersey starting next Fall. I believe Liberty is a perfect fit for her in all areas – faith, education, and hockey."

"The program's success, beautiful campus, coaching staff, and academic opportunities, topped with a Christian environment, made Liberty University my dream school," she said, noting that she is looking forward to arriving on campus to start her collegiate career and establishing "incomparable bonds with teammates along with the life lessons, new experiences, and future successes."
She said her core strengths as a player include her leadership, commitment, and work ethic.
