Keepers of the Flame: Archery sophomore Laine Vasko

Laine Vasko, a rising sophomore on Liberty University's archery team from Pine Bluffs, Wyo., has a passion for God, hunting, and all things arrow-related. So it is not surprising that her favorite Bible verse corresponds with her sport.

On a recent segment of "Keepers of the Flame," she shared how she applies Isaiah 49:2b, which reads, "He has crafted me into a polished arrow and concealed me in His quiver," to the challenges she faces in life and in preparation for competition.

"I have been shooting archery for about 11 years of my life now and have grown a passion for it," said Vasko, who is studying Criminal Justice with a concentration in Crime Scene Investigation. "He has formed you just the way He wants. Each arrow is individually crafted for its purpose. God has done that with us. We are crafted specifically for what He wants and He has concealed us in His quiver, threading us for battle."
