Ashley is entering her third season as the assistant coach for the Liberty University Women's Ultimate (LUWU) team. She is originally from Brewster, Massachusetts, and graduated from Liberty University with a BS in Criminal Justice in 2016 and is currently working on her MS in Accounting. Her and her husband, Jonathan, met at LU on the Ultimate Frisbee field and now coach the program together.
She began playing ultimate in college at Liberty when she joined LUWU as a transfer student. She played on the team for four years and captained it for two of those years. During those four years, she developed a passion for ultimate and for the community it developed with the women who played on the team at Liberty. That passion has continued as she stepped into an assistant coaching role in 2016 after graduation. Having been in both a player role and a coaching role, she hopes to bring a balanced perspective to the team and continue to foster the Christ-centered bond and the home away from home culture that was prevalent when she played on the team.
Ashley continues to actively play ultimate and seeks to grow as a player so she can make a greater impact on the team. She currently plays with Legion, a Virginia based, co-ed, club team with her husband, Jonathan. She also participates in and helps run local tournaments and ultimate events.
