Entering his nineth season with the Flames, Associate Coach Jeff Boettger brings an extensive hockey background to LU’s coaching staff. After playing collegiate hockey at Bethel University from 1993-97, the defenseman spent two seasons (97-98, 98-99) with the ECHL’s Chesapeake Ice Breakers. The following year, Boettger continued his minor league career in the Central Hockey League as a member of the San Antonio Iguanas.

     At the end of the 2000 season, Boettger moved to Montreal where he served as a camp director at Hockey Ministries International, overseeing numerous Christian hockey camps. Shortly before arriving at Liberty in 2005, the Alberta native returned to the ice, playing Division IV hockey in Germany, where he was part of the Bayernligue 2004 championship team - Rosenheim Starbulls.

     In addition to his coaching duties, he also serves as the Associate Director of Club Sports. Boettger currently resides in Campbell County with his wife Sarah, daughter Ava and son Tye.
