Bryan Rigg was brought on as the assistant men's volleyball coach in 2010 and became the head men's volleyball coach in 2011. He oversees all of the operations of the men's volleyball team including recruiting, administration, compliance, practice and in-game coaching, and mentoring his current and former athletes. Rigg previously played volleyball at Twin Valley High School (PA) and on the men's club team at Liberty University ('03-'06). He previously coached High School volleyball in Pennsylvania from '06-'09.
Coach Rigg is originally from Honey Brook Pennsylvania and currently resides in Lynchburg Virginia with his wife (Kate) and two children (Naomi, Charles). He has served as a Pastor at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Lynchburg Virginia since 2010.
As a coach, Rigg has many milestones with the men's volleyball program. He has increased his win percentage and raised his teams level of competition each year since becoming the head coach. His team has finished with a higher National ranking each year after year in his tenure. In the '13-'14 season the program took great strides under his leadership, defeating their first varsity program ever (Hannibal LaGrange, NAIA) and finishing with a top 36 National ranking ever in program history. During that '13-'14 season Rigg was awarded the National Collegiate Volleyball Federation's 'National Coach of the Year" award and Liberty University's "Club Sports Coach of the Year" award.
