January 2014 Parent E-Newsletter

The Center for Professional and Continuing Education offers conversational noncredit language classes in Arabic, Chinese, Hebrew, Hindi, Italian, Russian, Spanish, American Sign Language, and others to help students enhance their resumes. Visit our website for details.

Speed Reading and Advanced Vocabulary (CLST 301) is a one-credit elective that could change your student’s academic and professional career by helping them to increase their reading and comprehension while building their vocabulary.

Student Advocate Office (SAO)

The Financial Check-In (FCI) deadline was Dec. 6. If your student has not completed FCI, a $125 late fee will be added to their account, and your student’s classes are in danger of being dropped. We encourage you to call SAO as soon as possible.

Your student may have a Registration Hold on their account, but this does NOT mean they cannot return! If there is a hold, your student should call SAO to remove the hold so they can reregister and complete FCI.

We can help!

Career Center

A new semester will soon be underway! If your student is a junior or senior, he or she may need encouragement to start investigating summer internships or postgraduation jobs. The Career Center at Liberty University can help with crafting resumes, mock interviews, as well as job and internship searches. Visit www.Liberty.edu/Careers to learn more about how the Career Center can help your student.

This is an exciting time of year for the Career Center as we are preparing to host a series of career fairs and other professional development workshops.
