It is hard to believe that the semester is almost over!

Before your student comes home for the summer, be sure they have completed Financial Check-In (FCI) through their ASIST account to secure their enrollment for Fall 2013. If FCI is not completed by June 4, a $125 late fee will be assessed to their student account.

If needed, the Parent Plus loan is now available for application at

Career Center

May is here, which means thousands of Liberty students are graduating and moving on to the next phase of their life. It is a time of new beginnings; however the pressure of finding a job can also make this a stressful time. Regardless of whether your child is an alumnus, a graduating senior, or a freshman at Liberty, he or she would benefit from the services offered at the Career Center.

The purpose of the Career Center is to make your student feel confident entering the working world. Internship guidance, mock interviewing, and résumé critiquing are free services for all Liberty resident and online students, as well as alumni.

A mock interview places the student in a realistic interview environment to prepare them to confidently answer questions that might be posed in a real interview. Interviewees are required to dress professionally and bring a prepared résumé. Résumé critiquing services will ensure your student has a résumé they can be proud to present to potential internship directors and employers.

To schedule a mock interview or set up a résumé critique appointment, have your student visit or stop by the Career Center in DeMoss Hall. For more information about Career Center services, email The office is open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., in DeMoss Hall, Room 1007.

Give your student the ultimate gift – the chance to relive their Liberty University memories whenever they want to with their own copy of the 2012-13 Selah yearbook.  They can experience Tim Tebow’s Convocation address, the amazing campus transformation, and other highlights from their time at Liberty. Preorder a copy for $25 before Sunday, May 12, for a chance to win an iPad Mini or a $100 Visa gift card.

Distinguished Perspective

Actor, author, and father Kirk Cameron has visited Liberty University many times, and has recently entered into a film partnership with the university’s Cinematic Arts, Zaki Gordon Center.

“As a father, I’m trying to train six little Champions for Christ, and they’re all going to be in college one day; at least that is the assumption. You want to partner with people who are going to open doors of opportunity for your kids, a place that shares your values and your faith, and helps them realize the fullness of the gifts God’s given them, and then go into the world and impact it at the highest level. If parents are looking for a place to send their kids, Liberty is a place they’ve got to come and see. ”
