2012 Fall Family Weekend Recap

To those of you who joined us on campus for our Fall Family Weekend, it was our privilege to meet you and to host you for the weekend! More than 2,000 family members attended this year’s Fall Family Weekend, representing about 700 students. If you were not able to join us this fall, we hope you will consider attending next year.

With a few months left in the year, your student is preparing to wrap up the semester and head home for the holidays. Encourage them to stay vigilant in these last few weeks, and to finish 2012 strong.

Student Advocate

Prepare for your student’s upcoming spring semester at Liberty by completing the enrollment process early. Secure their spot at Liberty and ensure the best payment plans possible.

Students with an advising (AV) hold need to meet with their Center for Academic Support and Advising Services (CASAS) advisors to plan their class schedules for Spring 2013.

The Financial Check-In deadline is Dec. 6!

Encourage your student to attend Super Scholarship Search 101 on Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. in the Towns-Alumni Lecture Hall. Students can register by emailing scholarshipsearch@liberty.edu.

Technical Trades at Liberty

Liberty offers a unique opportunity for students to supplement their degree with certification and licensure in a technical field, including plumbing, electrical, welding, heating-ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), carpentry, and masonry. They also have the opportunity to obtain their Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Technical Studies.

Through this program, students will have an advantage in the career world and enjoy financial savings when they become homeowners. For more information, go to www.Liberty.edu/Trades.

Leave Your Legacy on Liberty Mountain

It is the season to reflect upon all the blessings that God has poured into our lives throughout the year. Consider showing gratitude for how God has used Liberty in your student’s life by donating a commemorative brick to the new Jerry Falwell Library. Honor a loved one or celebrate your time on Liberty Mountain, by investing in this facility that will bless generations to come.
