Student Advocate Office

We are so glad that your students are back with us!  We will be contacting them over the next several months to remind them of important deadlines, to check on their account, and to make certain they are staying connected at Liberty.  Please make sure you and your student's phone numbers are up-to-date in ASIST.

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
The Fall 2013 FAFSA priority deadline is March 1.  If you have to file a tax extension, email financialaid@liberty.edu as soon as possible and they will work with you.

Holds on your Account
Encourage your student to check their ASIST account to see if they have any holds on their account.  Holds will prevent class registration for the fall semester. Contact the SAO for more information.

Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
Every student creates a FERPA pin through their ASIST account under the General Information tab. You must know your student's FERPA pin before we are able to discuss their account.

CASAS

Is your student looking for an elective? Have them check out CLST 301: Speed Reading and Advanced Vocabulary, featuring the Eye Q – Brain Enhancement program. This excellent one-hour elective will yield benefits throughout their life, no matter their major.  The course is currently available residentially and will be available through Liberty University Online in March, 2013.
