International Transfer Students Move-in Day

Students should plan to arrive on campus Wednesday, August 22, 2018 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at the International Student Center (DeMoss Hall, Room 2232 - look for signs) to receive your welcome information and orientation schedule.

Students who arrive prior to Wednesday, August 22, 2018 may stay in campus housing at a cost of $15/day (Early Arrival Form is located in your ASIST and must be completed prior to arrival on campus).

If you arrive on campus before August 22, 2018, please report to the International Student Center (DeMoss Hall, room 2232), which is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. (434) 592-4118.

Please call (434) 592-6486 if you arrive after office hours (after 5 pm) starting August 19, 2018.

Orientation Schedule

. Welcome Dinner: DeMoss Hall, Grand Lobby at 5:00 p.m. Followed by Ice Cream Social on the Academic Lawn from 6:30 - 7:30 P.m.

Thursday, August 23, 2018

Undergraduate and Transfer Student Orientation (MANDATORY)

  • Location: DeMoss Hall, Grand Lobby
  • Time: 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Light Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
  • Required Items: Travel documents (Passport, stamped I-20, I-94 received at port of entry)

Transfer Orientation

  • Location: Towns Alumni Lecture Hall
  • Time: 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Medical Records

All immunizations and tests indicated on the Online Health Form must be completed prior to arrival on campus. Students without an approved health form and the required immunizations and tests may be refused campus housing and class registration. Complete the On-line Health Form before you travel (go to your ASIST account and click "General Information"). Bring your medical records with you.
