Arrival at Liberty University

Students living in campus housing can arrive on campus on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, and begin moving into your campus housing assignment.

The Lynchburg Regional Airport or the Roanoke Airport are the preferred destinations for students who fly.

Early Arrivals

Students should plan to arrive no earlier than Wednesday, January 9, 2019.

Students who must arrive prior to January 9, 2019, may stay in campus housing at a cost of $15/day (Early Arrival Form is located in your ASIST and must be completed prior to your arrival on campus),  Regular food service available through your financial check-in is available starting with lunch, Thursday, January 10, 2019. Prior to January 10, meals are at your own expense.

  • Time: Anytime between 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Location: International Student Center (DeMoss Hall Rm 2232) Look for signs


Wal-Mart Trip

Meet at International Student Center (DeMoss Hall Rm 2232 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.


Welcome Dinner for all new students to Liberty as well as transfer students.

  • Location:  DeMoss Hall, Grand Lobby.
  • Time: 5:00 p.m.
  • Ice Cream Social : Academic Lawn, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.

International Orientation Session (Mandatory Attendance)

  • Orientation: Grand Lobby of Demoss Hall
  • Time:  9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Light Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
  • Required Items: Travel documents (Passport, stamped I-20, I-94 received at port of entry)

Tour of Campus

      .Tour of Liberty's campus- Meet at the International Student Center (Demoss 2232) 2:30 p.m.

  • Tour of Jerry Falwell Library: Meet at the International Student Center (Demoss 2232) 4:30 p.m.

Travel Documents

  • Passport
  • I-20
  • I-94
  • Contact phone numbers for your Admissions Counselor and Pick-up Coordinator (if arriving by plane, train, or bus).

Medical Records

All immunizations and tests indicated on the Online Health Form must be completed prior to arrival on campus. Students without an approved health form and the required immunizations and tests may be refused campus housing and class registration. Complete the online health form before you travel (go to your ASIST account and click "General Information") and bring your medical records with you.

Making Travel Arrangements to Lynchburg, VA

Airport, Bus Station, Train Station Pick Up & Transportation to Campus

Students needing transportation to campus from Lynchburg's airport, train station or bus station or the Roanoke airport must complete the online registration form at If your travel plans change, please call the Transportation office at (434) 592-3640 to arrange for your new pick-up time. Reservations must be made 72 hours prior to the date of travel.
