Fall 2016 Graduate School Induction

The Graduate School Induction is a service provided to new graduate students to inform them of available university services and resources.  We will introduce them to professional development opportunities such as the Graduate Research Symposium, the Graduate Journal, and even Graduate Student Assistantships. Representatives will also be available to answer questions about graduate housing, Commuter Services, Writing Services,                                   Graduate student works on her computer

Library Resources, Financial Aid, and the university’s expectations at the graduate level. 

The Graduate School Induction is a mandatory event for new resident graduate students. All students will be asked to RSVP in upcoming communications.

Date: Friday, Aug. 26, 2016

Location: Williams Stadium (3rd Floor Club Level)

Itinerary (subject to change):

New to Liberty University Graduate Students: 

  • Check-in: 10:00 a.m. 
  • New to Liberty Information Session: 10:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m.
  • Lunch and Induction Ceremony: 11:00 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. 
  • Degree Program Orientation: 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.

All other New Graduate Students (Liberty Undergraduates) 

  • Check-in: 10:45 a.m. 
  • Lunch and Induction Ceremony: 11:00 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. 
  • Degree Program Orientation: 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.

International Students Only

Federal Regulations Orientation (Required)

International orientation will provide vital information about remaining in status, working before and after graduation, obtaining a Social Security number and Virginia driver’s license, income taxes, insurance, family members, and other subjects. This session is required for all students on F-1 status.
