Liberty University is committed to cultivating an atmosphere of camaraderie and support among our military student population. Each semester, the office of Military Affairs plans events just for our military student population. This not only gives you an opportunity to connect with other military students, but also gives us the chance to extend our gratitude for your service. Whether you are a current service member, veteran, or military spouse, we hope to see you at an upcoming event. If you have any questions about Liberty University Military events below, please contact our Military Outreach team at email@example.com.

The event will include a presentation by Dr. Lee Anthony, a historian of the 80th Division Veterans Association. Dr. Anthony will address America’s entry into the war, Lynchburg’s connection with the 80th Division, and the heroic exploits of Sgt. Alvin York that earned him the Medal of Honor. The presentation will be followed by an exhibition of artifacts from the 80th Division, a reception, and a viewing of the film Sergeant York, which won the Academy Award for the Best Picture of 1941.
