Liberty University is committed to serve our military student population in achieving their educational goals as well as providing an atmosphere of camaraderie and support for other unique needs. There are several upcoming events that we invite you to be a part of whether you are a current service member, veteran, military spouse or military dependent.
Liberty University and the Office of Military Affairs are honored to host our Spring 2014 Military Family Fun Day. We invite all of our military service members, veterans and their families to join us for a great day of tubing, skiing and fellowship with others who have served. There will be special activities for the kids and a visit from Liberty University's Mascot, Sparky.
Liberty University and the Office of Military Affairs are honored to host a military spouse brunch. A complimentary brunch will be served along with fellowship with other spouses, a message from Mrs. Soledad Moore, wife of Dr. Barry Moore, Vice President for Outreach and Strategic Partnerships at Liberty University and Retired Major in the U.S. Marine Corps.
The Liberty University Office of Military Affairs invites all graduating Liberty service members, veterans, and military faculty and staff members to the Military Graduate Recognition Ceremony. The ceremony will include an inspiring message to the graduates from Major General Robert Dees, U.S. Army, Retired, Associate Vice President for Military Outreach. There will also be the presentation of a commemorative Challenge Coin to graduating service members and veterans.
The Institute for Veterans Education and Training (IVET) is offering a free five-day course for military students at Liberty University. The iTAP 2.0 program is designed to help veterans transition from military to civilian life while preparing them for long-term employment and job placement. This helpful training typically costs approximately $3,500 but is being provided to veterans free of charge. This is a great opportunity to take charge of your future in the new year. Space is limited to the first 40 veterans, so register now to secure your place in this valuable program.
The Liberty University Institute for Military Resilience offers free webinars to educate our nation on the needs of our service members and veterans. Previous webinars include; Faith-based Solutions for the Needs of the Hour, Battlefront to Home Front & from Military to Civilian, Resilient Military Marriage & Family, and Being a Military Friendly Church.
