Events for Military Students

Liberty University is committed to cultivating an atmosphere of camaraderie and support among our military student population. Each semester, the office of Military Affairs plans events just for our military student population. This not only gives you an opportunity to connect with other military students, but also gives us the chance to extend our gratitude for your service. Whether you are a current service member, veteran, or military spouse, we hope to see you at an upcoming event. Veterans Day Weekend Flag Distribution

Please join Delegate Garrett and the Lynchburg Area Veterans Council in distributing 2,000 American Flags to neighborhoods across the Lynchburg community in honor of Veterans Day.

  • Date: Friday, Nov. 9
  • Time: 2 p.m.
  • Location: Meet at Delegate Garrett’s district office (2255 Langhorne Road, Lynchburg- between La Caretta and CVS). Volunteers will be divided into teams, receive their flags and neighborhood assignments, and leave from the office. Each volunteer team drives to their assigned neighborhood and places an American Flag next to the mailbox of each home. This leaves a beautiful, patriotic sight when driving down the street. And labels on the flags remind people about Veteran’s Day and why we honor our veterans.

Please RSVP your ability to volunteer for this special event by emailing or calling (434) 455-0243.
