Originally from Illinois, Cherie came to Liberty University, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree, when there was no Liberty Mountain, only the vision with Dr. Falwell. She met and married her husband, Michael, during those “pioneer” days. After the Lord blessed them with their first child, Jonathan, she left her chosen career field and enjoyed the next phase of her life as wife, mother, educator, chauffer, coach, financial planner, chef, etc. When her youngest daughter, Rachel, joined the student body at Liberty University in 2007, Cherie joined the Liberty University staff. In August 2011, Cherie joined the Office of Institutional Effectiveness. In 2014, Cherie earned a Master of Arts in Human Services Counseling-Executive Leadership. Her personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord is the driving force in her life and work. As I Corinthians 10:31 states, “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” For relaxation and in her free time Cherie likes reading a good book (whether mystery, adventure or sound doctrine), watching classic movies (who doesn’t enjoy a good Cary Grant film), and spending time with family and friends.
