Liberty University employee Jodie Walton lent his talent in designing a billboard logo currently displayed on 29 North for the Lynchburg Community Dialogue on Race & Racism. Walton, office manager of the Center for Multicultural Enrichment — a department of Student Affairs — has a passion for graphic design and public service. Walton is also a Liberty alumnus earning his B.S. in Communications.
The citywide effort kicks off on Thursday, Jan. 17, in Lynchburg. The guest list includes Lynchburg Mayor Joan Foster, Yale University professor Dr. Khalilah Brown-Dean and Dr. Steve L. Robbins; diversity consultant who has worked with Microsoft, Toyota, PepsiCo, Nordstrom, NASA, General Mills, Pfizer, Benjamin Moore Paints, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Herman Miller, Gerber Foods, the Federal Reserve Bank and National Cancer Institute.
There is still time to be part of this dialogue to further diversity and multiculturalism and to discuss issues and dynamics that affect the entire community.
