Liberty University is pleased to announce Pepsi as the first corporate sponsor of the Ultimate LU campaign. Under the agreement, the beverage company will help support the university's men's and women's hockey teams as well as various on-campus events and outdoor activities.
“Pepsi has enjoyed our relationship with Liberty,” said William Davis, a key account manager for Pepsi. “We feel like it's been very positive for both Pepsi and Liberty. Adding these outdoor activities and various events that we are looking at sponsoring - I just think is more advantageous for Pepsi as a company and Liberty going forward.”

Ultimate LU is an initiative instituted by Chancellor Jerry Falwell, Jr. that enhances the quality of the university's club and intramural sports by establishing new sporting facilities on campus. These additions include a 10-acre archery range, motocross track, dual-field paintball complex, future indoor soccer/multipurpose center and the upcoming artificial ski slope.
Another facet of Ultimate LU is Liberty's Student Activities department, which offers events such as video game tournaments, open mic nights, and Coffeehouse (a variety/talent show that is one of Liberty's most widely attended events).
Since Ultimate LU's inception, the university has hosted an extreme mountain bike race and an intense half-marathon on its 5,000-acre mountain property. An array of on-campus competitions and events are currently in the works, allowing for future sponsorship opportunities.
“It's very helpful to have sponsors such as Pepsi,” Liberty's Director of Student Activities Chris Misiano said. “It allows us to do more with providing prizes and opportunities at our events, so that more students can come and have a good time.”
