May 16, 2012 : Liberty University News Service

The News & Advance in Lynchburg, Va., recently published an article titled, "Five years after death of Jerry Falwell Sr., growth booming at Liberty."

The article shows the vision of Liberty's founder becoming a reality. It highlights growth in enrollment -- now at more than 90,000 students -- and expanded academic offerings, such as a medical school and the new Center for Cinematic Arts. It details construction projects already under way as part of a major campus transformation that will change Liberty's landscape in the next five years.

“It’s almost like he wrote the script,” Chancellor Jerry Falwell Jr. told the newspaper. “If you listen to his 1970s sermons and look at what’s happening now, it’s almost like he was seeing it and describing it.”
