Liberty got off to an extremely quick start as defenseman Dave Semenyna scored only 28 seconds into the game. From there the first period would go back and forth in terms of scoring. With the game tied at one, Mike Lane scored his first goal of the year to give LU the lead. Robert Morris quickly tied the game again, but Semenyna found the net again with an unassisted goal. Six minutes later Joe Smith received a pass from Ryan Walter to give Liberty a 4 to 2 lead going into the second period. Jonathan Chung found his way onto the score-sheet with 6 minutes left in the second to give the Flames a 3-goal lead. Then, 4 minutes into the third, Adam Docksteader lit the lamp with his 11th of the season to essentially put the game out of reach for Robert Morris. Five minutes later, Dave Semenyna scored a powerplay goal that would give him the hat trick. Goalie Colin Way faced 41 shots and stopped 38 of them. Zac Bauman led the way in hits with 11. He also had 2 assists.
