Bill Pearce – longtime host of “Nightsounds,” which airs daily on the Liberty University-based radio station WRVL Victory FM – has died at age 83. Pearce passed away from complications of Parkinson's disease, according to the “Nightsounds” website.
“He was my dear friend of more than 45 years, my mentor, my role model and also a wonderful singer, trombonist and radio announcer,” said Bruce Braun, executive director of New Media Communications at Liberty University. “I am going to miss Bill.”
“Nightsounds” can be heard each weeknight on more than 300 radio outlets across the United States, Canada and overseas.
