Last month, the university inked deals with HEAD and Tube Pro, establishing the two companies as the official suppliers of the slope’s snow sports rental equipment.

Finals week can often be a stressful time for students as they prepare for winter break. Some residents are finding time to relieve that stress by exercising in Liberty University’s new multi-purpose aerobics room. Recently, workers transformed the old Mountain Frost Creamery ice cream shop at Campus North into a fitness room, complete with a Sprung Floor that is ideal for a variety of physical workouts.

Anticipation continues to build as crews are diligently grading atop Liberty University's mountain property in preparation for the new year-round ski slope. Slated to open in March, the Liberty Mountain Snowflex Center will be the first artificial incline in the U.S. composed of Snowflex, a multi-layer synthetic material designed to simulate real snow.
