Liberty University Baptist Theological Seminary

In 1973 Dr. Jerry Falwell, Sr. envisioned a place for men and women to receive graduate level, Christ-centered education. LBTS is home to over 8,000 students both residentially and online, and is located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. The Seminary provides Christ-centered education and is committed to academic excellence with a focus on equipping the whole person for local and global ministry. LBTS students have the opportunity to study under some of the world’s leading evangelical professors and have access to all the facilities of the largest private, nonprofit, four-year college in the country, Liberty University.

Academics

The Seminary offers 11 academic graduate programs including Ph.D., D.Min., M.Div., and Th.M. Students can choose from a variety of specializations, including worship studies, marketplace chaplaincy, and pastoral ministries. LBTS professors believe the fundamentals of Christian faith, including the inerrancy of Scripture and biblical morality. Whether your focus is evangelism, leadership, or biblical studies, LBTS will prepare you for kingdom work.

Student Life

LBTS fosters a community dedicated to ministering to the social, spiritual, and academic needs of the Lynchburg area. Thus, students engage in service opportunities through Seminary Chapel, Convocation, and the local church.

Residential students have access to Liberty’s recreational facilities such as the LaHaye Student Union, David's Place, and Liberty Mountain Snowflex Centre. Student can sign up for intramural sports and attend productions at the new Tower Theater. Student Activities provides more resources for the residential Seminary student.
