Biblical & Theological Studies

Department of Biblical and Theological Studies offers biblical studies degrees

Chairman: Dr. Ken Cleaver

Note from the Department

The Liberty University Department of Biblical and Theological Studies aims to provide a thorough, biblically-based, cognitive, and spiritual foundation for students who desire to pursue further academic training at the graduate level or who want to prepare themselves for Christian life and services.

  • The B.S. in Religious Studies will equip students to venture into their chosen fields with the knowledge base and reasoning skills necessary to become leaders in an evangelical position.
  • The B.A. in Biblical Studies is a program through which the student will explore the Old Testament, New Testament, biblical languages, and backgrounds of the biblical era. Students with this well-rounded biblical degree put it to work immediately in leading Bible studies, teaching, writing, and often pursuing a seminary education.
