LU Praise to Host Auditions

LU Praise is a 25 – member gospel choir that serves as an official representative team for Liberty University’s Center for Music and Worship. The group’s mission is to bring glory to the Name of Jesus through the musical languages of the African-American worship traditions.  Group presentations include, but are not limited to: spirituals, anthems, hymns, Scripture song, traditional black gospel, contemporary black gospel, and sacred classic.  

Auditions for the 2013-2014 academic year will take place on March 26-28, 2013.  To sign up for a specific date and time for an audition, please sign up at the School of Music bulliten board (adjancent to Religion Hall Room 101).

THINGS TO REMEMBER:

• Please download and fill out the application
  • Send the completed application to LUPraise@Liberty.edu
• Prepare to sing a verse and chorus of one gospel song selection

Audition Information

LU Praise members are selected through a rigorous audition and evaluation process that includes: an extensive written application, demonstration of Christian testimony and commitment, spiritual leadership, academic potential and achievement, musical ability, and ministry experience. Auditions are scheduled on an annual basis and are held in the Center for Music and Worship. Auditions are open to all Liberty students and occur each spring semester for the upcoming academic year.
