Parent/Child Nurturing Division

Volunteers needed to work with children through planned activities which focus on building positive self-esteem and self-worth. Must love children and have the ability to relate well with them. Children range in age from newborn-12 years of age. Volunteers need own transportation and be committed to attending the Nurturing Program once a week for 8 weeks.
Teen Parent Project/Family Resource Program

Teen Parent Project/Family Resource Program, sponsored by Family Service of Central Virginia, Inc., a United Way organization, is an educational based advocacy program for teenage parents. The program depends on volunteers for child care during weekly parenting sessions and monthly support meetings. Volunteers receive training from the program coordinator.
