The Christian/Community Service for Psychology Majors gives students an opportunity to apply their skills in practical, hands-on experience. Students find their placements in agencies of their choice around the community, working with the people. The student can work in different agencies each semester, if they so desire, and gain added knowledge of people in various stages of life. Not only is this a service to the community, but it also benefits the student as they prepare for their life's work. The time spent in the agencies can be used on the students’ resumes as they apply for employment after graduation.

Christian/Community Service credit is available predominately to the officers of this club. Officers of the Psychology Club (open to all Psychology majors) and Psi Chi (national Psychology honorary organization) meet and plan activities for the spiritual, professional and social development of students of Psychology. Officers make professional contacts and learn organizational skills of short-term and long-term planning. The emphasis of activities is on the application of Christian Psychology, experience with practicing professionals, exposure and observation in professional settings, and research experience. Other members of this club may obtain CSER credit if they complete the required 20 hours of service in actual volunteer service to the community.
