In order for official transcripts to be released, the student must not have any outstanding financial obligations to the University.
When ordering transcripts online there is not an option to have your transcript order expedited. ALL transcript orders are automatically sent within 48 hours of transaction receipt via USPS and can take up to two weeks to receive.
If you would like your transcript order expedited via FedEx*, please call (434)-592-3916 Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (Eastern Time) immediately after placing your order online. Please have your credit card information ready when calling.
*FedEx fees vary depending on location, package size and specific service requested. Federal Express only delivers to street addresses (P.O. Box or APO addresses will not be accepted for the FedEx service). Please contact FedEx at 1-800-GO-FEDEX for information regarding shipping rates.
In accordance with the Family Rights & Privacy Act of 1974, a student’s academic record can only be released upon written authorization by the student. By law, the request must include the student’s signature and date.

- · Special instructions (if needed) (i.e. “send transcripts after degree has posted,” “send after grades have posted,” “send via FedEx* overnight delivery,” “send unofficial copy only,” etc.)

How much does a transcript cost?
The transcript fee is $10 for an official transcript and $1 for any additional copies on the same request. There is no fee for an unofficial copy of your transcript. For questions regarding payment for transcripts write us at

Can I view my unofficial transcript online?
Yes, using your Username and password log onto
Liberty University’s website (under LU Login). Once you are logged on click on ASIST, and then go to New ASIST. Next, click on Student & Financial Aid. Follow the links to Student Records, and then click on Academic Transcript, from there you can choose to view your Unofficial Transcript.
