We realize that one of the most important questions for transfer students is how their credits will transfer for admissions. If you want to determine how courses you have already taken or plan to take will transfer, please follow the steps below.
Liberty has developed transfer agreements with the Virginia Community College System (VCCS) and North Carolina Community College System (NCCCS) that include equivalency guides which guarantee the transfer of courses from participating colleges. To view what courses are eligible and other colleges that have transfer agreements, see our transfer equivalency guides. Liberty also offers scholarship opportunities for transfer students.
Liberty University is pleased to offer a free transfer consultation service designed to help you make the best decision regarding where to pursue your degree. Through this Unofficial Transfer Consultation (UTC), we will give you a general idea of what to expect regarding the application of your transfer credits to your chosen degree program. This will determine how many courses you may satisfy and roughly how many courses you may still need in order to finish your chosen degree program.
UTC Requirements and Instructions:
The UTC service is provided to prospective students who would like to know how much credit might be granted before applying for admissions. Students who have applied to Liberty for a future term but who have not yet been accepted may also use this form.
The UTC form and instructions are available on the Unofficial Transfer Consultation site.
Please note that an official evaluation of transfer credits will be provided once a student has been accepted to Liberty and has submitted official transcripts from all institutions attended. In addition, students accepted to Liberty for a future term who are interested in determining how credits they plan to take will transfer may submit a Transient Approval Form.
Submit your online application or contact an Admissions Counselor at (800) 543-5317 to submit your application over the phone.
In order to evaluate your credits, we must have official transcripts from every college or university you have attended. Please review the Transcript Request Form. Transcripts must be sent directly from the school(s) to Liberty University in order to be considered official. Send transcripts to:
