Prospective Students

We realize that applying for admission is a big step. Maybe you are considering Liberty University among several other colleges or universities. It is important that you make the best decision regarding where to pursue your degree, which is why we provide a free transfer consultation of your transcripts prior to applying. Through this unofficial evaluation, we will give you a general idea of what to expect regarding the official evaluation of your transfer credits. We will also determine how many courses you may still need in order to finish your chosen degree program.

When do I use the Unofficial Transfer Consultation (UTC) form?

1. The Unofficial Transfer Consultation request is a service provided for transfer students who would like to know how much credit might be granted before applying for admission. Applicants who are not yet accepted may also use this form.

2. A separate Official Transfer Credit Evaluation is provided to students who have applied or have been accepted to Liberty for a future term. Please visit our Registrar’s Office website at http://www.liberty.edu/registrar for alternate options that are available to you.

What are some guidelines I need to be aware of before submitting the Unofficial Transfer Consultation (UTC) form?

  1. Please provide copies of your unofficial college transcripts (front and back) from ALL colleges attended. They must indicate the name of the institution, course titles, course numbers, letter grades, number of credit hours, and enrollment date. You may also provide unofficial College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) and Advanced Placement (AP) scores.
  2. The request form and transcript(s) should be sent together either by fax, mail, or e-mail to the contact information provided below. Please be sure to include the request form, transcripts, and CLEP and AP scores.
  3. Unofficial Transfer Consultation results will not contain an evaluation of military credits as these processes are separate.  For more information about military credit evaluations, please visit www.liberty.edu/MilitaryTransfers.
  4. The unofficial evaluation will be based on transcripts and test scores submitted and degree requirements in place at the time of request. Degree Completion Plans are subject to change annually; therefore, the unofficial evaluation will not be considered a binding agreement.

How do I submit the Unofficial Transfer Consultation (UTC) form?

Email Instructions:

  • Open file - Fill out form - Click SUBMIT to attach to the email unofficial transcripts, CLEP and AP scores.
  • Make sure that transcripts from all colleges attended are attached in the email.
    • Documents may be scanned and attached as .PDF or .html.
    • Please DO NOT copy and paste into the email or Word.doc.
    • Click SEND on the email.
    • This will automatically be sent to the Undergraduate Transfer Team for review.

How will I receive my UTC Results?

After the Transfer Credential Evaluator reviews your UTC request, you will be emailed an Unofficial Degree Completion Plan (DCP) consultation within two (2) business days. If an email address is not provided, the consultation will be mailed. The consultation is UNOFFICIAL and is used ONLY for Admission Advising purposes only.
