Degree Presentation Ceremonies

Ceremonies

Following the first ceremony, graduates will move to their individual school or college ceremony where their degrees will be presented, and doctoral students will be hooded. These ceremonies will begin at 12:30 p.m. or 3:30 p.m., depending on the student's major. Ceremonies located off campus will vary slightly in times.

The dean of the school or college will preside over each ceremony and the president of Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary will preside over the seminary ceremony. See the chart below to find the time and location of your college or school ceremony. Maps and commencement guides will be available at the Friday Check-In if assistance is needed in getting to the correct location.  Ceremony specifications will be listed on each graduate's reader card that they receive at Check-In.

Multiple Graduates in a Family

If there are two or more family members graduating this year from different schools or colleges within the university, the students may process and sit together at the ceremony they choose to attend. The student attending a different ceremony may want to inform the Card Reader that they will be participating in the alternate ceremony.
