Urban Ministry Expo: Anomaly

Wednesday, October 21st - Doors open at 6:30pm at Town's Alumni Hall

a·nom·a·ly - An Anomaly is something that doesn’t quite fit the norm. It is something that deviates from what’s expected. This year's Urban Ministry EXPO seeks to answer the question, “How do I love and live within my culture as I unashamedly embrace my faith?" Urban America didn’t count on a die hard follower of Jesus who loves the gospel, loves truth, and hates sin. Yet, the suburban, Bible-educated, Baptist-Christian experience didn’t count on the Urban culture being here either. This exposure night seeks to answer the questions, “Who am I?", "Where do I come from?", and "Where do I go from here?" Mark your calendar for this night and be prepared to come as a student but leave as an Anomaly.

Generation SEND: Your Life On Mission Matters

Interviews start Thursday, October 1st

Generation Send is designed to be one of the most exciting, intense, and unique internship experiences in North America. It is a spiritual venture that will immerse young adults into an urban context to gain practical knowledge of the realities of missions and leadership in a metropolitan area. Participants will spend six weeks initiating ministry in the city while missionary practitioners and leaders invest in the interns’ lives.

Your life on mission matters. Leverage your degree for the mission field this summer by applying with the Center for Ministry Training. We will have four teams this school year: Portland, San Francisco, New York, and Baltimore (Nursing Students Only). To request an interview email James Hobson.

Refuel Conference College Night: What's Your Mission?

What’s your mission? Where are you going to allow God to use you this summer? The mission-field is right at your fingertips. Don’t believe the lie that says, “Mission is years away, some day when I finish my degree.” Missions starts right now, and missions is right in your backyard. Come out October 13th and identify what your mission is and how you will engage your people group while you are pursing your degree.

Liberty Church Network Summer Internships

Applications open Monday, August 31st

How can you do an internship over the summer and get paid for it now? Through the Center for Ministry Training, you can get coached, equipped, sent, and paid to be trained before your Summer Internship. Do you have a heart to serve within the local church through preaching, leading worship, disciple-making, and missions? Then we desire to spend a year coaching you on the necessetity of local church life. Students will create a Student Profile to help identify their giftings, passions, and desires for local church ministry. We will then seek to pair you with a like-minded church within your desired context. Lastly, we will launch you into practical ministry for the summer to see you using your gifts within the local church. A total of 50 applications will be reivewed, but only 20 students will be accepted this adacemic year. Contact James Hobson if you are interested.
