Church Planting Conference Schedule

***The ITALICIZED events below are the best opportunities for recruiting students.

Tuesday, February 25th

8:00a.m. – 10:00a.m. Church Planter Check In at the Seminary (NOT on Main Campus)

  • Please arrive early to receive your finalized schedule for the conference as well as a parking pass for your visit. Come prepared with your license plate number.
  • CMT staff members will be available to go over the schedule, explain each packet as well as answer any questions about the conference
  • Light refreshments will be available.

10:30a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Seminary Chapel in Old Pate Chapel

  • There will be a special announcement at Seminary Chapel reminding the student body about the conference. This will be a GREAT opportunity to meet with seminary students.

11:30a.m. – 7:00p.m. Presentations in Classes

  • Each Church Planter will have a unique schedule. Maps will be provided as well as classroom assignments.
  • These presentations usually range from 5-15 minutes depending on what each professor requests. Handouts or fliers are highly recommended. Please encourage students to come to the “Church Planting Expo” to find out more about church planting opportunities.

7:00p.m. – 9:00p.m.   Church Planter Panel Discussion

  • Four church planters have been selected to share about a specific aspect of their church planting experience. This event will allow a limited number of students to join. Dinner will be provided.

Wednesday, February 26th

8:00a.m. – 9:30a.m. BREAKFAST at the Executive Dining Hall at Reber Thomas

  • A wonderful buffet breakfast will be provided by the CMT. This will be a time to mingle with other church planters as well as spend time with the CMT staff and ask any questions.
  • The student leaders of the ministry teams of the CMT will be attending the breakfast to learn about the opportunities and ministries available. These are some of the best ministry minded students of Liberty.

10:00a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Convocation in the Vines Center

  • There will be a special announcement at convocation informing the student body about the CPC. This is North America's largest weekly gathering of Christian students and will be great to experience.
  • Karen Kingsbury, America's top author of Christian fiction, will be the convocation speaker.

11:20a.m. – 12:30p.m. Presentations in Classes

  • Each Church Planter will have a unique schedule. Maps will be provided as well as classroom assignments.
  • These presentations usually range from 5-15 minutes depending on what each professor requests. Handouts or fliers are encouraged. Please encourage students to come to the "Church Planting Expo" to find out more about church planting opportunities.

1:00p.m. – 4:00p.m. CHURCH PLANTING EXPO in the Executive Dining Hall

  • This expo is a GREAT way to make connections and recruit interested students for church planting opportunities in a casual, fun setting.
  • Tables will be provided for church planters with the name of their ministry located at each table. Each ministry should be prepared with supplies to promote their ministry and attract students to their table. Also, please be prepared to give specific details on internship opportunities.

4:00p.m. – 7:00p.m. Presentation in Classes

  • Each Church Planter will have a unique schedule. Please not that classes are as early as 7:40am and pay close attention to where the class is located. Maps will be provided as well as classroom assignments.
  • These presentations usually range from 5-15 minutes depending on what each professor requests. Handouts or fliers are encouraged. Please encourage students to come to the Career Fair to find out more about church planting opportunities.

7:30p.m. – 9:00p.m. CAMPUS CHURCH Located at TRBC

  • This is one of the BEST opportunities to connect with students. Campus Church is an optional service for students to attend that draws hundreds of people every week.
  • Tables will be provided for church planters in Main Street (the hallway in the main entrance) of TRBC to display information about their ministry. Church planters should be prepared with supplies to promote their ministry and attract students to their table.
