Master of Arts in Philosophical Studies

Master of Arts in Philosophical Studies (M.A.P.S.)

The Master of Arts in Philosophical Studies program is ideal for those looking for a graduate-level education in Philosophy or Christian Thought (Apologetics). The M.A.P.S. program makes an excellent basis to pursue further graduate work at the doctorate level, or for entrance into academic circles.

Throughout this program, students will participate in intensive study of classic, modern and contemporary philosophy. Of special interest to our students and faculty is how the study of philosophy enlightens many of the contours of historical, orthodox Christian theology--fundamental to understanding and defending the Christian worldview. A thesis is required of students in this program, with an oral defense, as well as knowledge of a modern language, and a comprehensive examination. Please contact the Program Director, Dr. Edward Martin, for further information.

  • 36 hour graduate program
  • Residential format
  • Admissions Information: Note that admission for Fall 2016 into the program has been suspended. Please contact the program director, Dr. Ed Martin, for further information.
