Admission Requirements

  • 2016-2017 Tuition: $490 per credit hour

  • $50 application fee (beginning Fall 2016, the application fee will be deferred and assessed during Financial Check-In)
  • Regionally or nationally accredited Bachelor’s degree in music with at least a 3.0 GPA for admission in good standing (2.50-2.99 may be admitted on caution)
    • Official college transcripts (must be mailed directly from your college to Liberty University in an official, sealed envelope)
  • Completion of an earned baccalaureate degree or its equivalent from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (e.g., SACSCOC, TRACS, ABHE, etc.). in one of the following areas: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science in Music and Worship; or equivalent in music, music education, or music and worship.
  • Submit one letter of recommendation
  • Statement of Purpose (500 words or less) explaining your purpose for pursuing this degree. Consider the following in your response: how is this degree going to help you in your ministry and/or vocation; what do you hope to learn through this process; and, what do you hope to do with this degree after graduation?
  • Self-Certification Form (for students in the final term of their bachelor's degree)
  • Current Liberty undergraduate students seeking preliminary acceptance into a graduate program must complete a Graduation Application through their ASIST Account.
