(If you haven't done so already during the admissions process.) An online ASIST account is required at Liberty in order to register for courses, complete Financial Check-In or check your class schedule.
After creating the ASIST account, every graduate student will receive a Liberty email account. Use of this Liberty email address is mandatory for all coursework. Check your email account at least once a day throughout the duration of the term. Your Liberty email account can be set up through Microsoft Outlook, Entourage or other similar email programs, or accessed from any computer with Internet access through Webmail. In addition, please make sure to complete your FERPA in your ASIST account.

To complete your enrollment and course registration, you must complete Financial Check-In. Payment arrangements are made through the Financial Check-In process each semester.

Housing
During the Financial Check-In process you will have the option to select your housing preference.
Married students and students 25 years of age or older, must live off campus. The Commuter Services webpage contains excellent resources for apartment searching and connecting in the Lynchburg community.
Students who wish to live on campus will select their housing preferences within Financial Check-In.

You will receive a registration PIN 24-48 hours after completing Financial Check-In. This PIN will allow you to register for your courses.
If you are in the process of completing an undergraduate degree, you must officially graduate before you are eligible to matriculate to a graduate program. If you are graduating from a school other than Liberty University, a final transcript showing your completed degree is required before beginning classes. Final transcripts can be mailed to:

Higher One card (all students)
The Higher One card is issued to every Liberty University student and is the tool needed to select a refund preference to receive financial refunds. When you receive your card, activate it online and select a refund preference.
Flames Pass (resident students only)
The Flames Pass is your new campus ID card. It provides access to meal plans, Flames Cash account, events and activities— campus wide. Your Flames Pass is valid as long as you are actively enrolled and financially checked-in.

You will automatically be enrolled in the graduate-level writing class (GRST 500) once you have completed course registration. However, you may test out of the class by passing an online writing exam. You will receive an email from the Graduate Writing Center with instructions on how to complete this exam online. If you pass this exam, you will receive a pass for the course.
Please be aware that a $100 test assessment fee is charged to your student account as a new student whether you complete GRST 500 or take and pass the online exam.
