If you participated in Gifted & Talented programs in high school or if you are academically talented and serious about your studies and seek to be appropriately challenged, you should consider the academic enrichment of our Honors Program along with its merit-based scholarships.

If you have an SAT of 1270 or an ACT of 29 and a high school unweighted GPA of 3.50, or if you have a college GPA of 3.50 and you are in no later than your second semester of your Freshman year, you may qualify to apply to our Honors Program (application deadline is April 20). Currently, 625 scholars from 44 states and 12 foreign countries participate in the Honors Program and receive scholarships that range from $3,750 annually to full tuition, room, & board (for 42 National Merit Finalists). Honors Program students celebrate their first Big South Conference Quiz Bowl Tournament championship, winning 8 straight games; LU's Quiz Bowl team has won four Big South Conference championships: 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010 & 2011.
