Public & Community Health

A Christian Health Approach

Get an integrated approach to health along with practice-focused preparation that will prepare you for a successful career in public health and healthcare. Through the the Department of Public & Community Health, you’ll learn to strategically address the health needs of priority populations at the local, national, and international level using a variety of health promotion and education strategies. Here, you’ll train with a dynamic network of Christian faculty who bring decades of real-world experience and research into the classroom.

Our undergraduate and graduate degree programs equip you for a rewarding career in public health, as well as prepare you for further education in the clinical and professional fields. Students completing the program and meeting the prerequisites will be eligible for professional certification through the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (CHES) and Certified in Public Health (CPH).

CEPH Accreditation

The Liberty University Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) degree with concentrations in Community Health Promotion, Global Health, Nutrition, Epidemiology, and Environmental Health, as well as the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Public Health degree with concentrations in Community Health Promotion, Nutrition, and Pre-Clinical are accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH). 1010 Wayne Avenue, Suite 220, Silver Spring, MD 20910, (202) 789-1050. CEPH accreditation was granted from October 6, 2017, through December 31, 2024. Reaccreditation is scheduled for Fall 2024.

This is in addition to other program-specific accreditation and Liberty University’s regional accreditation.
