Swim Proficiency Information
The Swim Proficiency Test is administered each semester at the LaHaye Student Union pool. Students must take the proficiency test and pass or take KINE 228 or KINE 229. There are no exceptions.
Requirements
Student must be able to:
- Float on stomach for 15 seconds
- Float on back for 15 seconds
- Swim one length of pool on stomach
- Swim one length of pool on back
First Aid / CPR Certification
Student must:
- Bring current CPR card
- Bring current First Aid card
The certification may be issued by a variety of agencies such as American Red Cross, American Heart Association, National Safety Council, etc., or the student must take HLTH 205.
