Required graduate-level writing class/exam

A graduate-level writing class and online writing exam are integral components of your graduate studies at Liberty University.  Once you have completed registration for your spring courses, you will automatically be enrolled in GRST 500, the graduate-level writing class. You will see the addition of this course reflected in your class schedule within four business days of the completion of your course registration. If you wish to by-pass enrollment in GRST 500, you have the opportunity to test out of the class by passing an online writing exam. After you have been enrolled in GRST 500, you will receive an email from the Graduate Writing Center with instructions on how to go online to complete this exam. If you are successful in passing this exam, you will not be required to enroll in GRST 500.  However, if you do not pass the exam, you will be required to remain enrolled in GRST 500. Please be aware that a $100 test assessment fee is charged to your student account as a new student whether you complete GRST 500 or take and pass the online exam instead.
