Helms School Societies and Clubs

The Helms School of Government's societies and clubs are oriented towards a student's specific major and even available for those with a minor. These societies and clubs can help connect you with fellow classmates and prepare you for your future career.


Criminal Justice Honor Society

Alpha Phi Sigma is the national Criminal Justice Honor Society and membership in this society carries numerous benefits, including scholarship opportunities, career advancement and a chance to plug in to the criminal justice world while still at school.


 


This is a club for students of all majors who have an interest in Criminal Justice. We host many events and offer many opportunities to advance your career in Criminal Justice.


 

Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society, is the only honor society for college and university students of government in the United States. Pi Sigma Alpha is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies.


 

The Pre-Law Society is a place for you to fellowship with others who are planning to attend law school in the future. The Society assists with the various other programs, and its members have the first opportunity to join the teams and publish in the Journal. 


 

The mission of the Strategic Intelligence Society is to prepare students for employment within the Intelligence Community by encouraging critical thinking that leads to the analysis of current events: specifically, the ability to discern intelligence from information within the fields of politics, technology, transnational issues, economics and military policy.
