Biography

Mrs. Hassenpflug grew up in a small town in the mountains of Southwest Virginia.  She earned a B.A. in Education and Psychology from the College of William and Mary in Willamsburg, Va., and an M. Ed. in Reading Education from the University of Virginia.

She has taught a wide variety of classes in both the College of General Studies and the School of Education. 

She is married to Leon, nominally an engineering nerd.  Her two children are Rachel, a Liberty grad and current medical resident, and Maddy, a Liberty residential student.
