Dr. Cindy Bunker


Department Chair & Assistant Professor


Dr. Bunker grew up on a farm in East Tennessee where her love for animals steered her towards a career in veterinary medicine. She earned her B.S. degree in Animal Science from Tennessee Technological University and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Auburn University in Auburn, Ala. 

She spent 19 years as a practicing small animal veterinarian prior to joining Liberty University, where she now serves as an assistant professor and department chair in the College of General Studies. She has taught biology, anatomy and physiology, creation studies, health and instructional technology courses.   

Dr. Bunker and her husband, Tripp, have been married for over 20 years and have three sons, Kye, Colin, and Carson.
