AACC is committed to assisting Christian counselors, the entire “community of care,” licensed professionals, pastors, and lay church members with little or no formal training. It is our intention to equip clinical, pastoral, and lay care-givers with biblical truth and psychosocial insights that minister to hurting persons and helps them move to personal wholeness, interpersonal competence, mental stability, and spiritual maturity.
The AACC Foundation is our non-profit worldwide resource that exists to encourage the development of Christian counseling worldwide through funding of various programs that are not priorities in a for-profit, business model, but are nonetheless crucial to the comprehensive development of a Christian counseling ministry. AACC is committed to assisting Christian counselors, whether those counselors are licensed professionals or caring church members with little or no formal training. AACC proudly recognizes the diversity within the helping relationship and provides membership opportunities in three separate categories:
• Professionals include psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, licensed counselors, and others who have advanced training in one of the mental health professions.
• Religious leaders include pastors, youth leaders, missionaries, pastoral counselors, Christian educators, and others with theological and/or counseling training.
• Lay counselors include church members of parachurch organizations, spouses of professionals or religious leaders, and others who are interested in Christian counseling, but who have little or no professional training.

Our Mission & Priorities
Healthcare system in Lynchburg, VA whose mission statement says it all.."Excellent Care...Every Time". I have had the opportunity to see this mission statement in action for myself, my daughter, and my father. My daughter lives in Dry Fork, VA and chose to come to Virginia Baptist to have her baby. My father was treated at Lynchburg General for a heart condition and was one of the first patients in the Heart Pavilion. He transferred here from Danville Regional. His care was nothing short of amazing! Dr. Hoyt stayed up until after midnight to wait for him to be transported from Danville. When we arrived in the CCU, Dr. Hoyt was there, greeted each of us individually, and made my father feel like he was the only patient in the world! I can't say enough about the wonderful care this system provides. I am proud to be a member of the Centra team.

Youth Villages is a nationally-recognized nonprofit organization that helps troubled youth and their families live successfully. With a high-performing and dedicated staff of more than 2,600, currently working in 11 states and serving more than 20,000 emotionally and behaviorally challenged youth annually through its comprehensive, evidence-based programs: intensive in-home services, residential treatment, foster care, adoption, group homes, transitional living, specialized crisis services, and intensive residential treatment.
Since 1994, when Youth Villages began an emphasis on intensive in-home services focused on building strong, permanent families to support troubled youth both in and out of state custody, success rates have soared: in 2011, 83% percent of the youth served by YV have remained at home successfully two years after discharge. Youth Villages’ success rate is extraordinary when compared with a 60 percent failure rate for traditional child welfare services.
President Obama recognized Youth Villages as a nonprofit with “promising ideas that are transforming communities.” Youth Villages Chief Executive Officer, Patrick Lawler, was named one of “America’s Best Leaders” by U.S. News and World Report and the Center for Public Leadership at Harvard University’s John F.
