Richard Glass

Director

Responsibilities: Directing the overall operations of the Liberty University Career Center

Bio: Served 30 years in the private sector business world and the last 15 years in the information technology industry as an executive responsible for providing multi-million dollar solutions and professional staffing services to private and public sector operations throughout the United States.  He is the registered director on the board of a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation; business owner, former Private School Board of Directors member, a deacon and an adult couples Sunday School teacher.


Clint Melton

Assistant Director

Bio: Before coming to Liberty University, I served twelve years in the Air Force. On Gods call, I left my military career behind to pursue His calling in my life. I have a strong desire to use the skills He has blessed me with, which has led me to working for the Career Center. I have a passion for helping people and the Career Center allows me the opportunity to mentor, coach, and lead which are my strengths. I enjoy equipping students and our alum with tools to assist them in successfully employing themselves in the workforce. Employer Relations also allows me the chance to make a difference and get involved in the community by networking and developing relationships. These relationships assist me in bridging the gap between the employer and our students. God has blessed the Career Center with the resources and the people to assist in plugging young Christian men and women into a workforce that is starving for His influence. I am excited to be a part of a Career Center that is shaping and impacting so many lives and our community.

Bio: Matt is originally from southern Utah until he came to Liberty in 2007. At Liberty, he met his wife Jo.  Currently, Matt is working towards a Masters degree in Professional Counseling.


Ryan Andrews

Bio: Having served in a number of offices at Liberty over the past four years, I’ve grown to love helping students navigate academics and life.  I’m passionate about ideas, how they shape us, and communicating them through counseling and the arts.  With my free time I enjoy doing freelance and volunteer graphic design work for various Christian organizations and events.

Bio: With a previous focus on teaching and volunteer leadership, Tracey had the opportunity to begin as the Career Center’s Office Manager in 2008 and then as a Career Counselor the following year.  She is able to use her counseling education and teaching experience to meet with students individually as well as present to residential classes on professional development skills and tailor resume workshops to service graduate students.

Bio: Tyler has been involved with college students in the Lynchburg area since 2010 when he served on staff at a local church as an Associate Pastor. Since then he has transitioned to the Career Counseling team where he continues to use his passion for helping college students determine their full potential in the Lord and helping them to think past graduation. Tyler and his wife have a son and enjoy spending their free time hiking, enjoying a good cup of coffee, and spending time with family.


Dina Jones

Bio: Dina has worked in Development and Academic Advising before coming to the Career Center and loves working with Liberty students, alumni, and parents. She takes a holistic, strengths-based approach to Career Counseling. Dina has been happily married for 2 ½ years and is the proud mother of a 1 year old daughter.

Bio: After serving in several capacities at the collegiate level, Reggie has unlocked his passion for equipping current and future generations of college students to be the best versions of themselves. He believes that the world would be a fundamentally different place if people were trained and equipped with the resources to “run in their lane.”

Bio: Christian Education has been Michele's profession for over 8 years and she has been active in Christian schools for over 15 years. Michele has been a high school English teacher, a speech teacher and music/drama teacher. One of her passions in life is encouraging students in the gifts and callings that God has entrusted to them as they step out into the marketplace professionally.

Bio: Karen enjoys working with the college-age population, in guiding them towards the best path that God has planned for them.  Previous to the Career Center, she worked in the capacity of Academic Advising.  She is currently working towards a Masters in Professional Counseling.

Bio: Frank began working full time for Liberty University in 2004 in Academic Advising. He transitioned to the Career Center in 2011 where he now serves as the recruiter for The Washington Fellowship, which sends students to Washington D.C. for internships. Along with the recruiting of potential intern candidates, Frank provides professional development training for students.

Bio: Dan worked as an elementary school teacher in both the United States and Korea for three years until relocating back to Lynchburg, Virginia in 2011. He now enjoys helping students develop professionally and obtain great jobs and internships locally, in Washington D.C. and around the world.

Bio: Melissa worked for the LSU Orientation Office/Student Life Department and McNeese Student Leadership Office and assisted students, alumni, and parents by organizing numerous student activity events and orientation seminars. She also recruited sponsors and participants for the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk. God led Melissa to Liberty University first to expand my education in the fall of 2011, and then felt God calling her to be a bigger part of the university;  a month later, she was hired as the Events and Recruitment Coordinator in the Career Center.


Mike Skillman

Bio: After graduating from Liberty Mike spent a little over a decade in full-time ministry as a camp director, associate pastor and youth minister ranging from rural Virginia to inner-city Washington D.C. Some of Mike’s highlights while in full-time ministry are growing a youth group to over one hundred youth; and he pioneered an umbrella non-profit ministry in Washington D.C. called the Care Company. Over the years Mike has also owned and operated his own dock building, landscaping and trash businesses. Currently He is a principle owner of The Skillman Team, a real estate company that has the majority market share of Virginia’s fourth largest lake, Leesville Lake. Mike is also the part-time youth pastor of Rivermont Avenue Baptist Church in Lynchburg, VA. Mike has been married for close to seventeen years and has five children. Mike is excited and finds great pleasure to be a part of his alma mater in serving students, staff, faculty and alumni with networking, professional development and leading them to a place that helps them find internships and jobs.
