When do I take the Computer Assessment?

The Computer Assessment will be proctored on campus and will be available at all Summer Orientation sessions  at 10am and 2pm. Open labs will also be scheduled at the beginning of the semester.

Transfer students who have transferred in a computer course that has been substituted for INFT 110 have satisfied the technology competency requirement and do not need to take further steps.

Students opting to take the Computer Assessment will be charged a one-time fee of $55 to cover the cost of the Computer Assessment software (myitlab). If a student attempts the assessment but does not pass, the myitlab account can be used for INFT 110 and the student will not be charged an additional fee.

The actual assessment will take approximately (1 1/2) hours.  Therefore, allow a minimum of 2 hours of uninterrupted time at the computer when taking the computer assessment.
