What happens if I do not pass?

To ensure that Liberty students are proficient in computer technology, they are required to take Information Technology 110 or pass all areas (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) of the computer assessment. Students who do not pass two areas of the computer assessment in their first semester at Liberty are required to take INFT 110 within their first 45 credit hours or first year at Liberty if a transfer student. Students passing all but one area of the assessment will be required to take a one credit course (within their first 45 credit hours or first year at Liberty if a transfer student) in the area which they did not pass (INFT 102-Powerpoint, INFT 103-Excel, INFT 104-Word).

Passing the computer assessment or INFT 110 will satisfy the technology competency requirement listed on all Degree Completion Plans (DCP). Transfer students who have substituted a computer course for INFT 110 have satisfied the technology competency requirement.

The computer assessment will be available online in the Spring 2015 semester through your INFT 000 blackboard course.

Visit www.liberty.edu/computerassessment or email INFT@liberty.edu for more information regarding times and dates.
